Could you imagine the four photographs in the album? Was there a particular one you were drawn to the most?
Yes I did I imagined all four photographs. The one I was drawn to the most was the young woman and the swan. It my mind the photo was beautifully done. Also that was the photo this book was the most about.
I was very impressed with the author’s descriptions of them. I liked the one that showed Minnie & Molly. I felt the contrast between the completely still woman on the bed and the blurry movement of the still living twin was a haunting image.
As were many other readers, the swan and the twins were the most vivid to me. Until the end, when the swan and its death was explained, I found myself constantly going over the why’s of this picture in my mind. What was the connection, what weird thoughts were in the mind of the photographer. I was so glad to read it was not as morbid as I had been imagining.

Yes, I could imagine the photos as I was familiar with death portraits. There seemed to be an elegance, though, in these photos, at least that’s what I imagined. Blurring the photos added emotion, at least as I imagined!
I found it hard to imagine the death photographs so I had to do a little Google research. That said, I think the swan one was the most intriguing to me.
