I’ve never even heard of the book (or the author, for that matter).
Although I realize that it takes a lot of skill to craft short stories, it’s not a genre I enjoy reading. As a result I tend to overlook collections like this.
I’m with you @kim.kovacs. Short stories almost always leave me either scratching my head or wanting more. I love investing in character and story development through the pages of both fiction and nonfiction but don’t get quite enough of what I enjoy from shorter form writing. That said, I’m glad the collection is getting apparently deserved recognition—something for everyone.
