Who's your favorite female author of the 21st century?

Tom Hank’s was perfect! I need to reread many of her books starting with State of Wonder.

Ruta Sepetys and Barbara Kingsolver are automatic buys for me. I hope that Bonnie Garmus writes more books because I definitely enjoyed her debut, Lessons in Chemistry.

So many favorites, but I think it would be Barbara Kingsolver, even though she spans the centuries.

I love Miriam Toews, Canadian Mennonite, whose works are always hilarious and heartbreaking – All My Puny Sorrows, Fight Night and Women Talking (Oscar-nominated movie, too) being some of her best known. I also deeply love Madeline Miller’s exquisite re-imaginings of Greek mythology – Circe and The Song of Achilles. I will rush to my bookstore the minute one of their books comes out (though they take their time with each – something else I truly appreciate)
