What's the last book you received as a gift, and what's the last book you gave as a gift?

three great choices @Joyce_Montague !

The last book I got as a gift was The Women by Kristin Hannah, which I loved, and the last book I gave was The revenge of the Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell. My husband is a fan.

@Joyce_Montague I’ve read three of S.A. Cosby’s books & enjoyed each of them. Cracks me up, though, that you call your 70-year-old friend “young.” I bet she’d beg to differ, LOL. My husband is 15 years older than I am, and every time I complain about feeling old all I get is “Just wait until you’re my age.” No sympathy!

The last book I received as a gift was : Olive, Mable & Me by Andrew Cotter. I can’t remember the last book I gave as a gift, as so few of the people I know read books anymore.

A friend gave me “Dirtbag Queen” by Andy Corren for my birthday earlier this month. I would never have picked it up, would be very careful who I would recommend it to, but reading it opened my eyes to another culture and how even the most dysfunctional family survives and cares for each other. Certainly a lesson in resilience, which many of us need right now (but it also made me very thankful for my own dull, boring, normal, & wonderful family).
