What was the last book you bought, where did you buy it (online, indie bookstore) and how soon will you read it?

The last book I bought was The Berry Pickers. I read it in two days. It’s a beautifully written book. The story itself is sad. Sometimes life is sad.

I just bought The Framed Women of Ardmore House by Brandy Schillace. It is the first in new mystery series. The main character is autistic as is the author, but instead of it being a sad, troublesome life, it is only a part of her character. It is so good! I bought a hard copy but I am also listening to it from the library, so I can keep it moving during this busy season. Happy Reading Everyone!

Being a retired Children’s Librarian, I must say it’s never too late to read the classic titles written for a younger audience. It pleases me to know you are enjoying your reads.

Trying to start 2025 with books that are “uplifting” but also well-written and give me food for thought. Please reply with any titles that you enjoyed!

  1. Last book I bought: The Authenticity Project by Clare Poole
  2. I only buy books from Better World Books (“Buy Books, Do Good) at www.betterworldbooks.com/go/mission. Try it!
  3. I plan to read it twice: Now and the week before I facilitate my book group’s discussion of the book.
