What scene(s) will remain the longest and the most vivid in your memory?

The scene that will remain with me the longest and the vivid in my memory is when Snake shoots Spike. That scene was heart wrenching to say the least.
The moment he passed thru the guards without a hitch and walked out of the prison. That must have been such an incredible high for him. I was holding my breath.
The scenes wth James and Black Knife (especially with Spike being shot) and the move with James and his mother to the bad neighborhood, the love between James and his mother. The GREAT ESCAPE was the cherry on the top! Loved it!
I agree completely. I felt all of his emotions right along with him during that event.
No doubt about it, the murder of Spike and Snake. It hides one in the gut. I was delighted to see him passed through the guards and walk out of prison. Damn the Prison Board
The murder scene was intense and instant. I was nervous for James as he walked out of prison and was waiting for a guard to shout and shot. This was a smooth escape.
When Snake shot Spike… the description of Spike dying upset me so much I almost stopped reading the book! I’m sure it’s because I have a dog……
