What did you think of the book’s conclusion, and what do you think Billie's life will look like going forward?

I loved the conclusion. Billie had reached a point in her life where she had gained a bit of wisdom – as we all hope we will – and perspective. Most importantly, after therapy and coming to grips with her family & past, she found her people. The ones who really saw her, and accepted & loved her unconditionally. That’s really what everyone wants.I think the remainder of her life will be more of the same . . . an ongoing discovery of joy, feeling contented & loved, and having the strength to survive the hard times that are inevitable.

Janie, I have so appreciated and enjoyed your thoughtful responses to the discussion questions. I find agreement in what you so eloquently state.

I felt it was a little rushed but I’m glad she found some happiness in her life. Even though she never realized her dream of moving to Colorado, I’m glad she was able to go there on vacations with her family.
