Thank you for your kind reply!
I wanted to read more of The Dragon from Chicago before responding (I thought it’d be sooner, sorry). I’m now at about 60% and it ends at around 79% (after an epilogue). For me, I thought it flagged a little between 20-35% (or maybe it was me?!), but it picked back up.
Also, I know I am reading from the perspective of 2026 and this is history, but goodness, my stomach still becomes clenched when I read about what was going on in Europe pre- and during WWII.
An Inconvenient Widow, an interesting and sympathetic portrait of Mary Todd Lincoln.
Big hugs to you! And bless you for sharing this with me, and for opening your heart and home to these precious ones.

I’m reading a couple of things. One that’s being a fun read is Legendborn by Tracy Deonn. It’s a young adult book but it’s very good. I’m so I’m the beginning.
I’m also reading Game of Thrones again. Hard to keep all the characters straight!

Haha @Kathleen_H1 re Game of Thrones. It doesn’t get any easier! Man, what an amazing series… if only George R.R. Martin would stop getting distracted with other projects and finish the dang thing! I swear he’s going to do a Robert Jordan on us and we’ll have to find someone else to wrap it up. Yeah, I know, the TV show already did that, but I’d still rather read the book.
