I just finished Palaver by Bryan Washington it was for me a very interesting visit to Japan meshed with a mother-son relationship.
My next read was a random discovery on a recent trip to the library. I can’t wait to see what it’s all about: A DANGER TO THE MINDS OF YOUNG GIRLS by Adam Morgan.
A Danger to the Minds of Young Girls was a recent BookBrowse featured book,@Anne_Glasgow! You can check out Alicia’s review here. Looking forward to hearing your opinion about it.
Thanks @kim.kovacs Hagiographic seems to be the major criticism hurled at the book to otherwise positive reviews. Since I’ve never before heard of Margaret Anderson I don’t know any better so I’m willing to let the author take me on that ride.
On this cold, snowy day I started reading Happy Land for the book discussion this week. I only just started and it makes me feel completely transported into the world of the book!
I did watch the BookReporter’s interview with Allen Levi and also the one with Katie Couric and both are available. He’s a great interview and I loved the book.
I am listening to Skylark and The Woman in Cabin Ten. The latter is for a book club. I’m reading The Many Mothers of Dolores Moore in book form. And my ebook now is Everything is Tuberculosis. So little time and so many books to read. Wish I could clone myself!
Great feedback, Jacquelyn!
Just to avoid a bit of confusion, the newest Sadeqa Johnson book title is Keeper of Lost CHILDREN (instead of Lost Souls). How wonderful you had an opportunity to hear the author speak about the book! I still need to read Yellow Wife - not sure why I haven’t accomplished it yet since I enjoyed Keeper of Lost Children as well as The House of Eve.

Thanks for correcting my error. It is The Keeper of Lost Children. There is so much to read out there and for me never enough time. You wil get around to Yellow Wife.
