I’m reading The Missing Half by Ashley Flowers and am finding it slow going. Part of my problem is I don’t really like the main character.

I just finished The Queen’s Musician by Martha Jean Johnson. It’s. a Tudor-era historical novel about Mark Smeaton, who was the lutenist executed as part of Anne Boleyn’s circle. Loved it.

Started a book I received to review, Darker Than the Sky by Matt Tracy, a couple of days ago and having real difficulty with it. I’ll force myself to finish it though.

A little over halfway through listening to The 1619 Project. It’s 19+ hours, but I am learning something from each essay and hopefully, am gaining greater insight into what it is to be Black in America.

I am just starting Aftertaste by Daria Lavelle. Also I have heard great things about Project Hail Mary and in particular the audiobook. So I am listening to it and the first 4 hours have been great!

I’m reading ‘The Women’ by Kristin Hannah, about the nurses in Vietnam. Harrowing and hoping there’s some positive outcomes for the main character soon!
