I loved Before Dorothy. It was creative and fun to read. Author, Hazel Gaynor, does a nice job with researching for her novels. I felt the Depression and Dust Bowl settings fit the story well. I would definitely recommend this novel to fans of The Wizard of Oz and those who enjoy historical fiction. Many book clubs would also enjoy this book - there’s some great discussable topics.
