How did you feel about the rock star not having a name? Why might the author have made this choice?

Sometimes I feel like certain names give almost like preconceived notions attached to those names? By not giving him a name it allows the character to develop independently.

I felt the same, I immediately thought of Black Sabbath, Kiss, Rod Stewart and I could name many more. This was she was able to make him a mix of many rock and roll gods.

I was dying to find out who he was alas he was never named. I wish the author had named him if only for my curiosity.

I am glad to see you mention the Epstein saga, because Birdie was a child when the rock star became sexually involved with her. I believe that when she met the rock star he was already an experienced pedophile. I don’t think the book smacks a reader in the face with this idea nor did Birdie understand that’s what he was when she is with him, However, by the end she can see the true-nature of their relationship. He was an adult abusing a child. I think the reader is confronted with this by the end as well.

It bothered me more the beginning of the book.
