Thanks for the titles! I don’t think I use Book Browse to its full potential for me… thanks for the tips

My book club has read several nonfiction books. Here are a few.
*Nickled and Dimed by Barbara Ehrenreich
*The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson
*Catherine the Great: Portrait of a Woman by Robert Massie
- The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot
*The Boys in the Boat by Daniel Brown
*Being Mortal by Atul Gawande
*The River of Doubt by Candice Millard
*A Woman of No Importance by Sonia Purnell
*Into the Magic Shop by James Doty MD - Traveling Mercies by Anne Lamott
Our book club read Killers of the Flower Moon by David Grann and had a good discussion on it.
Two of the book groups I have been a part of have read and discussed this book. It is an excellent and important book for everyone to read; also very engaging.
This book is one that stays with me. Truly amazing to learn this happened as it reads like a novel. It saddened me, shocked me, and reinforced how money motivates so many things that it should not.
Our book club just finished another of his books, Facing the Mountain about Japanese Americans during WWII. Excellent book and made for. Wonderful discussion. Other favorites of mine include:
Fever in the Heartland
The Exvangelicals
In the Garden of the Beast
Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks was amazing. I still recommend it and have even bought a few copies for those that prefer nonfiction.
If it was a book club selection, there is a lot that could be discussed that has happened after the book was published.
@Dee_Driscole that’s how I discovered The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. I worked at a health research center and we had a book club that featured works on healthcare issues and diversity, and this was one of our selections. You’re right, it did make a great discussion book.
