I had not heard of either of these amazing strong women, I also spent some time looking into their histories on the internet. Has anyone read Polly’s book?
I had no familiarity with either woman prior to the book. As a result of the book I did end up digging a bit into the history of each.
No i didn’t know about either of these women before reading the book. I love historical fiction because it informs me about parts of history i previously knew nothing about. I then research the plot, characters and times. I have learned lots by reading historical fiction novels.

I was not aware of either of these two before reading this book. While reading it I was wondering about them and now want to learn more about them. The e-book version did not contain the author’s notes that I would have liked to read.

I was unaware of both women and am so glad that the Authors shared their story. I spent alot of time googling different characters in the book.
I had not heard of either Eunice or Polly which doesn’t surprise given their gender and Eunice, her race and Polly, her occupation. I appreciate both Victoria Christopher Murray and Marie Benedict for their gift of honoring women whose achievements have been obscured by time and history.

No, I had never heard of either of them before, but am interested in finding out more about them. There are so many strong women throughout history that most people have never heard of. It seems as though it takes other women to let us know about them.
I had heard of Polly but not Eunice. As others mentioned, that is what makes historical fiction so much fun to read. I, too, will be doing more research on both of these women. Their stories are fascinating!
I had heard of Lucky Luciano and Thomas Dewey but I had not idea about either Polly or Eunice. I am glad to have learned about both women. The author’s notes were important in adding additional information. One of my favorite things about the writing team of Marie Benedict & Victoria Murray Christoper is learn about extraordinary women with historical context. Very few writers are able to deliver in such an authentic fashion.
