Hi Cathryn, Wasn’t this an interesting book? It held my attention even though it seemed disjointed; however, it did flow.

Yes! I was fascinated…and I have to say I started it with some trepidation. I have read enough “weird” books (most of which have won the Booker) to know the signs. Ha! But I was hooked from the beginning. I am so glad I was sort of “forced” to read it because I’m not sure I ever would have.

I’m with you on that, @Cathryn_Conroy. I never would have chosen the book myself, but I did really like it a lot. Fingers crossed we continue to have reasonably good luck with our future selections!
Regarding that…see my latest post in the “March” thread. The book I chose that we settled on–”Liar’s Poker”–was a huge disappointment. Read that message and tell me if I should give a new list of books. I feel terrible about this! But I don’t want all of you to suffer with this one.
